Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 1, 2026
This policy explains what information is processed when you visit Home & Outdoor Finds. The short version: we do not set our own cookies and we have no accounts or sign-up forms.
Who is responsible
The data controller for this site is Home & Outdoor Finds, an independent publisher based in Vietnam. You can contact us at [email protected].
Information we process
Cookies
This site does not set its own cookies and does not use local storage to track you.
Analytics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how the site is used: pages viewed, referring sites, approximate country, and device and browser type. We see aggregate statistics only. We do not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels or remarketing tags; if that changes, we will update this policy first.
Cloudflare states that Web Analytics "does not use any client-side state, such as cookies or localStorage, to collect usage metrics" and that it does not "fingerprint" individuals via their IP address, user agent string or any other data for the purpose of displaying analytics (source).
Hosting and security logs
The site is served through Cloudflare. Every request to the site, including clicks on /go/ redirect links, passes through Cloudflare's network, which processes technical data such as your IP address and browser user agent to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Cloudflare states that the information it processes "may include but is not limited to IP addresses, traffic routing data, system configuration information, and other information about traffic to and from Customers' websites" (Cloudflare Privacy Policy).
Affiliate links
When you click a "Check price" button, you are sent to the merchant, sometimes through a short redirect on our domain (/go/). The link may carry a reference code that tells us which page and button the click came from, for example the page name and whether it was the "budget" pick. It contains no personal information.
Once you are on the merchant's or affiliate network's site, they may set cookies to credit the sale. Those cookies are governed by their own privacy policies, not this one.
We have no newsletter, accounts or sign-up forms. If you email us, we use your email address and message only to respond and to keep a record of the conversation. Messages to our contact address are forwarded through Cloudflare Email Routing to our email service provider. We keep correspondence for up to 24 months after our last exchange, then delete it, unless we need it longer to handle a legal claim.
How long we keep data
- Emails: up to 24 months after our last exchange (see Email above).
- Hosting and security logs are kept by Cloudflare for the periods set out in its own privacy policy.
International transfers
We are based in Vietnam, and our service providers, including Cloudflare, process data in several countries, including the United States. Personal data from the EEA, the UK or Switzerland may therefore be processed outside those regions. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses included in our providers' data processing terms.
Your rights in the EU, EEA and UK (GDPR)
- Lawful basis. We rely on legitimate interests to process hosting and security logs (operating and protecting the site) and to handle emails you send us (responding to you).
- Your rights. You can ask to access, correct (rectify) or erase personal data we hold about you, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interests. Email [email protected]. We respond to requests within one month.
- Complaints. You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the country where you live or work.
Your rights in US states
Residents of some US states, such as California, have rights to know about, access and delete personal information, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. To make a request, email [email protected].
We do not sell or share personal information, as those terms are defined under US state privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act. We disclose limited technical data only to service providers that help us operate and secure the site, such as our hosting and email providers, and only as needed for them to provide their services.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update it on this page and change the effective date above.
